When Redeem realised that most people were throwing their old cell phones and printer cartridges away, they started Recycling Appeal. Recycling Appeal offers recycle fund raising programs to benefit worthy charities and causes. Since its inception, Recycling Appeal has helped raise in excess of £2 million.

• The Cadmium in a cell phone battery can pollute up to 600,000 liters of water.
• The flame retardants used in wiring board and cases have been associated with cancer and liver problems
