1. Consider Prices: The retail prices for cookie dough have inched up over the years. Years ago the best selling cookie dough sold for $10 per tub. Lately some companies are asking as much as $15 per tub. That is simply higher than individuals want to pay. Groups that try to sell for that much experience lower sales because people don't want to pay that much or are unable to pay that much. Now there is a line of frozen cookie dough tubs that retail for $10. It was only recently introduced but groups taking advantage reported invigorated sales. So consider the retail price of your cookie dough. Here is information on $10 Cookie Dough Tubs.
2. Reward Participation: Although I am not aware of any scientific studies I believe that the best way to get higher overall results is to reward participation. That means that you recognize in some way everyone who sells even a single tub of cookie dough. There are lots of large groups that hold frozen cookie dough fundraisers. Many of them have participation levels below 30%. Imagine if they could create an incentive that would entice 70% to participate. Certainly the 30% that sold would sell anyway but the extra 30 or 40% that might also participate even selling a tub or 2 would dramatically impact total sales.
3. Reason for Fundraising: Finally our experience shows that kids and their families will more aggressively participate in fundraising that directly benefits them. That does not mean they need to get cash in their pockets. It means that they will sell more aggressively if they know they will enjoy the fruits of the effort. That could mean a new playground for the school. New computers, etc. The point is that you should clearly articulate why you are raising money AND how the funds will directly impact each and every student. If you follow the above you will find your results will dramatically increase.
