Historically that works out well. Sales are brisk. Many people who might not have thought about buying cookie dough for themselves will consider giving some as presents or making life a little easier by having ready to cook cookie dough in their freezers.

But winter cookie dough fundraisers also work well. Winter sales are strong but for different reasons. One you might not have thought of. A lot of the people who bought cookie dough before Christmas have now cooked all of their cookie dough and are actually kind of sad that they are out of dough. They are ready for more but since the only place they can purchase it is from a cookie dough fundraising group it is not easily available.

If you hold a winter cookie dough fundraiser you capture that market even though the customers may have originally bought their cookie dough from many different organizations. The other reason that winter cookie dough sales work well is that there is less competition out there.

Fall is the busiest season to sell cookie dough. Spring is the second busiest time. If you hold your fundraiser in the winter then you can slip right in between those two time slots and have a great sale.
