What is the most popular candle fragrance?
Every person has their own personal preferences and we have different candle themes and fragrances to offer. We try to offer a combination of old favorites along with a couple of new fragrances to keep sales fresh.
How and when should I cut wicks on candles?
Wicks should be cut whenever the flame begins to flicker excessively or exceeds 3/4" in length. The best way to trim a wick is with a device called the wick clipper. With this device you can clip the wick either lit or unlit. Proper length should be 1/4" after clipping.
How long will the candles burn?
Burn times will always vary depending on where you place your candles. Drafty areas will make them burn slightly quicker. Burn times will also vary depending on the height of your wick. The longer the wick the quicker the candle will burn away. That is why it is best to keep candle wicks trimmed.
When is the best time of year to sell candles?
Candle sales are good any time of year but the most popular and successful time of the year is late October or early November so you can take advantage of the peak gift giving seasons. Remember, though, that delivery times are a little slower that time of year so take that into consideration when planning your fundraiser.
