Adoption Fundraising - Overview
If you are fundraising for adoption the odds are you need to raise quite a bit of money. There are quite a few adoption fundraising ideas but before starting you should develop a plan and hopefully get as many people to help you as possible.
The sad fact of the matter is that it's very difficult for one or two people to raise a lot of money. It is possible though and just the fact that you have decided to hold an adoption fundraiser probably indicates you are extremely motivated. But before jumping in we suggest you make a list of all the people you know who might help in your fundraiser. Lots of people will find true joy knowing they helped with something this important.
Because the number of participants varies so greatly when fundraising for adoption we have decided to share with you three possible adoption fundraiser ideas that you might consider.

Dominos Pizza FundraiserOur Dominos Pizza Cards program has been our top small group fundraiser. One of the greatest benefits of this program is that these Buy One Get One Free cards are accepted at more than 4,000 locations around the country so people can held with your adoption fundraiser virtually anywhere in the United States. The cards offer great profit potential, the minimum order is low and shipping is free. |
Fundraising Flower BulbsIf you are looking for an adoption fundraiser that does not require any upfront money you should consider holding flower fundraisers either in the spring or fall. The flower bulb program and planting flowers is very symbolic to new life. The bulbs are competitively priced and offer 50% profit on each and every sale you make. We provide free brochures and order forms you use to pre sell with and you order only what you have sold. |
Candle FundraisingFund raising candles are easy to sell and offer terrific profit levels. One of our top candle fundraising lines is manufactured in the United States by Botika Candles. You will be offering three styles of candles including a great new wickless candle. You sell from free brochures and order forms we provide. You will make 50% profit on your candle sale and can even qualify for free shipping. |

When do I have to pay for my adoption fundraiser?
That is the #1 question we are asked by all groups, especially groups raising money for adoptions. If payment is an issue consider one of the pre sell fundraising options that allow you to collect money as you pre sell using free brochures and order forms. Otherwise we accept Master Card, Visa and checks or money orders.
Can I return products I do not sell?
Because of the nature of fundraising we are not able to accept returns on any products. We do that for a few reasons. On food products we feel it would not be safe to accept returns of products that have left our control. Many other products are customized for your group. Adoption fundraising groups are typically small so we have made minimum orders as low as possible and reordering as simple as possible so you will not have to order too much or the wrong product.
Do I charge sales tax when I sell for my adoption fundraiser?
That is a difficult question to answer. We are not sales tax authorities and can only speak to whether we would charge you sales tax. Most states allow non profits to sell products for fundraisers without having to collect sales tax. We suggest you check with your local authorities if you have any other questions pertaining to sales tax.
I can hold an adoption fundraiser as an individual, right?
Yes. We have many people who come to us for different needs including many who have only one participant in their fundraiser. We have programs designed for individuals, small groups, medium group and large groups.
