Candles Fundraising for all Seasons

Post Icon Posted on 11/05/2009

Candles Fundraising is another fast growing trend in Fundraising Ideas.

It can be used by church groups, schools, daycares, sports teams, youth groups and many other non-profit groups. In fact, it is a popular fundraising idea for the fall and winter, when longer nights are given an ambience and warmth with candles, especially scented ones.

Candle Fundraising is great because almost everyone uses candles. There are many types to choose from, including floating, cathedral, tapered, pillar, jar or container filled, votive, gel, luminaria, tealight, decorative, novelty, religious and birthday candles, each of which can be colored, non-colored, made naturally with beeswax, made the regular way with paraffin wax, scented, un-scented and/or with a design or unusual shape.

In fact, candles are regularly used for special occasions and even interior design, making them highly popular with many people. Candles fundraising has a substantial benefit in that Fundraisers only pay the minimal wholesale price for their candle supplies through major candle manufacturers and those specializing specifically in candles for fundraising.

Fundraisers can make as much as 50% profit on candles, dependant on the candle type. Some groups even give out free ones for people buying a certain amount of them and tailor the candles that they sell to friends, families, work colleagues, neighbors, and others in their community for special events or seasons. Some examples include birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and many others.

Best of all, most candles manufacturers usually allow free shipping as well as no deposits or upfront costs.
