Posted on 11/05/2009We are asked that question by so many groups. It's not limited to cookie dough. People want to know what they can expect to make on candy Fundraisers and every kind of Brochure Fundraiser too.
Regardless of the type of program we provide the same answer. There is no such thing as typical in fundraising. You can take two identical groups and get them to sell the identical product in the same town during the same time period and the odds are good that you will get very different results.
For years we have tried to figure out a common denominator for the better performing groups but we have not been able to discover the magic bullet so far. But if you are wondering what you can make from a Cookie Dough Fundraiser let me tell you about one group that stands out in my mind.
About three years ago we had a group of about a dozen cheerleaders. When they turned in their order they AVERAGED more than 120 tubs of cookie dough each. With a profit of about $5 per tub they made more than $600 profit per person. That is far and away the most cookie dough per person we have ever seen from one group.
Obviously we have had groups that sold much more cookie dough in terms of total tubs sold. But if you feel confident your group has some good sellers 120 tubs per person is a goal reached by that cheerleading group.
