Obviously when you run a charity fundraising event, a lot depends on selling tickets to the event itself. But when you get all those enthusiastic people in one place who are sympathetic to your cause, then what? Just entertain them as advertised and send them home? That would be a tremendous waste of resources, and you certainly would not be doing everything you could to make sure your charity gets as much money as possible form your charity fundraising event.
It's a great idea to have a selection of direct sale fundraisers going on at the event itself. Food, drinks, snacks, and other direct sale items are wonderful ideas to help raise additional funds at charity fundraising events. If you have a team of fundraising volunteers who can walk around and mingle with the people, even better. Get them each a stack of charity scratch cards, and set them loose in the crowd. Scratch cards have a very high rate of profit, and they're a lot of fun, too!
Keeping the fundraising flowing at your charity fundraising event is essential if you want to make the most of having all these people in the same place at the same time. Use the situation to your advantage, and have fundraising activities going on in every area, all the time. You already know that these people want to help your cause - it's up to you to work with that and make the most of your charity fundraising events both now and in the future.
