Why Can't I Return Fundraising Candy?

You've held a candy Fundraising-ideas.com'>Fundraiser and found out too late that you have too much candy.

You call to see what you can do and are told that you can not return Fundraising Candy. Your first reaction is anger. And that is understandable. But the odds are that you simply missed all the places where you were told that fundraising candy once purchased and delivered can not be returned.

While you might not be comforted when you are reminded where you will find that information we thought it would be good to explain why that policy is in effect at most fundraising companies. The biggest reason fundraising candy can not be returned is actually your safety.

I know our company is not comfortable shipping a food product to a school when we do not know if the candy has been tampered with or know exactly where the candy has been. Just think about it. If we ship candy to a customer they may leave the candy in an area that is infested with insects or rodents. We would not know the conditions the candy was stored in. We also don't know about the people that purchased the candy or the people they are involved with.

Consider the type of person that will put a razor blade in halloween candy or lace halloween candy with drugs or poison. While those instances are rare they exist. Once the candy leaves our warehouses we can not be completely certain it will not be kept away from those types of people.

If we did take candy back and then shipped it to a school or sports league and someone became ill because of tainted candy, imagine the liability. The customer would be outraged that we sent them candy that we had no control over.

While safety is first and foremost in the thought process economics also play a role in why you can not return Candy Fundraising products. Since your price is based on the number of cases you buy at one time accepting returns removes the certainty of what price you qualified for. And, if you chose to return a few cases, not only might you find you no longer qualified for the same price break you would also find out how expensive it is to ship a few cases of candy.

Based on the overview the fundraising industry for the most part has determined that you can not return fundraising candy and we believe that was the right decision.
