Friends of the Library Fundraising - Overview
Friends of the library are individuals and groups throughout the U.S. that help to support, preserve and strengthen libraries. What better way to do this than have a friends of the library fundraiser!
There are many great fundraising ideas for a library and having a friends of the library fund raiser will help in the upkeep of the library itself. Over time many of the books become damaged and need to be replaced and the library itself needs continuous updating.
One of the purposes of the friends of the library fundraiser is to create awareness and appreciation of the library. Making it a place where people will want to come and spend their time, check out books or just gather information is their goal. Scratch Card Library FundraisingScratch cards are a great friends of the library fundraiser. The scratch cards work as a donation system. Each card has 50 spots to scratch off. Concealed under each spot is a dollar amount ranging from $.50 to $3.00. The libraries can have cards at the counter and, as people are checking out books, they can be asked to scratch off two spots to make a donation. In return for their donation they will immediately receive a page of coupons to different national retailers. Once all the dots are scratched off each card will raise $100.00. |

Botika CandlesA friends of the library candle fundraiser never smelled so good! Many groups sell Botika Glowz Candles as a pre sell fundraiser. Another option for libraries is to purchase a number of candles up front and have them in the library to sell. When individuals come up to check out books, they will have an opportunity to purchase a candle as well, knowing that the proceeds will go to help the library. The library will make 50% profit! |

The library will make 50% profit and, for an additional $10, they can purchase a stand that can be placed on the counter that will hold the lollipops. This is a fundraising idea for a library that can be done year round. There is only a one case minimum at $144.00 per case. Each case consists of 576 lollipops and sells for $.50 each. |
Can libraries hold a pre sell fundraiser?
Yes. That is not a problem at all as long as the library feels that they have a way to distribute the product after it is delivered. This is a great fundraising idea for a library that does not have the money needed up front for a direct sale fundraiser.
Can the products be delivered directly to the library?
Yes. All products can be delivered directly to the library. Having a central location for delivery can be very beneficial.
Will the library be extended credit?
If the friends of the library fundraiser is for a public library then we will accept a public library purchase order. It would need to be signed by the appropriate individual and is a guarantee for payment. The library will have 30 days to pay for the products ordered.
