School Fundraising Ideas - Making the Best Choice

Schools are supposed to be places you go to for an education. But more and more the financial needs of the school can not be met with the school budget. And, unless the school or parents want to cut programs and extracurricular activities, they need to figure out new revenue sources. Our hope on this page is to help navigate your options. After all, the odds are good that you are not attempting to raise money on a regular basis and might not know the best options available. On this page we have identified different types of school groups and organizations to help you search for school fundraisers by group type and we have also offered around a dozen different products that you might consider.

Easy ways to raise money by group type

Consider looking for the type of school or group you are raising money for below. We've created pages that offer products and suggestions by school or school group to make your search as easy as possible.

Why Use Easy Fundraising Ideas?

We helped more than 10,000 groups last year alone. A large percentage of those groups were school related, which gives us some great insight into what other school groups are doing to raise money.

We use that insight when we create our school pages. For example, if you are a high school group we provide you the most popular fundraisers based on feedback from high schools. You will notice that the products we suggest might be different if you are searching for elementary school. Some days the results might be identical. But each school or school group page we offer delivers the products similar groups have told us they like.

Best times of year to hold a school fundraiser

We are asked what time of year is best to raise money and we have a difficult time answering that question. The problem is that the answer is different for each group and each school.

Lots of schools plan their fundraisers for very early in the school year. Some of the most organized plan their's for mid to late August so they get a jump on other groups raising money. The thought there is that early is better, but that is not always the case. The better argument for early is that you will know how well you've done and whether your financial needs are met.

Lots of other group like to do their fundraisers right before the Christmas season. This is historically one of the best times for school fundraising depending on the products you are selling since people might consider your products to use as gifts.

The fact of the matter, though, is that there are more critical factors that only time that divide the typical school fundraiser from those that are extremely successful

The top products

If you are searching for the top school products we suggest you drill down a little deeper into our site and find the page designed for your specific group type. On those pages we offer a dozen different suggestions that are based on group popularity. We actually share the most popular fundraisers for that season based on real customer feedback.

We believe it's information like that that makes Easy Fundraising Ideas a better choice when it comes to choosing a company to work with.

Paying for your fundraiser

The age old problem with fundraising is that many products need to be purchased before you can start. Groups complain about not having the money to get started. After all, they argue, if we had the money to buy the products we probably wouldn't need to hold a fundraiser.

The good news is that there are lots of school fundraisers that cost nothing to start. These can be located by clicking on our No Upfront Cost Brochure Fundraiser tab.

We also give credit to public schools that submit public school purchase orders. Upon receiving a purchase order we give the public school 30 days to pay for their order.
