Track and Field Fundraising - Overview
Track fundraising reflects its sport. Although there are lots of track teams it is more or less an individual sport. Many times a track fundraiser is held by a single athlete or by a small group of athletes as opposed to participation by the entire team.
Therefore a good track fundraiser needs to be geared toward smaller groups. Of course quite often these participating athletes need to raise a lot of money. Running shoes and other equipment costs are sometimes not included in school budgets and need to be paid for by fundraising.
We have identified three different track fundraising ideas that offer profits of at least 50% and can be utilized by smaller groups or individuals. When do I have to pay for my track fundraiser?
That depends on what kinf of track group you have. Payment arrangements will need to be made before we can ship your order unless you are a public school issuing a public school purchase order. If payment is an issue consider one of the pre sell fundraising options that allow you to collect money as you pre sell using free brochures and order forms. Otherwise we accept Master Card, Visa and checks or money orders.
Can I return products we do not sell?
Because of the nature of fundraising we are not able to accept returns on any products. We do that for a few reasons. On food products we feel it would not be safe to accept returns of products that have left our control. Many other products are customized for your group. We have made minimum orders as low as possible and reordering as simple as possible so you will not have to order too much or the wrong product. Choose your track fundraiser carefully. We would love to help talk through the many options.
Do Itrack teams need to charge sales tax?
That is a difficult question to answer. We are not sales tax authorities and can only speak to whether we would charge you sales tax. Most states allow non profits to sell products for fundraisers without having to collect sales tax. We suggest you check with your local authorities if you have any other questions pertaining to sales tax.
Do we need to be part of a league or school to hold a fundraiser?
No, individual track teams and athletes are welcome to participate in any of our fundraising ideas. We have many items, in fact, that are geared to smaller groups and others that are geared to larger groups.
