One of the programs people talk about is Yankee Candle Fundraising. While Yankee makes a terrific product we believe a Yankee Candle Fundraiser is not the best way to raise money. We believe we have better programs that make more sense. Let me explain.
We have been in the fundraising industry for a long time. One of the things we have come to understand is that fundraising sales are price sensitive. That means there is a certain price point where people will simply not be willing to purchase a product offered in a fundraising program. That price ceiling changes product to product. We believe candle Fundraisers work best when candles retail for less than $15. In fact, we believe that candles priced at either $10 or $12 will produce the highest sales totals.
Yankee Fundraising Candles are simply priced too high in our opinion.
The other reason we suggest people consider one of our candle Fundraising Programs over a Yankee Candle Fundraiser is the availability of Yankee Candles in malls throughout the country. Since the company sells its candles all over place you are more or less competing with them on a retail level.
What happens if they decide to have a sale? What does that do to your market? What is someone has visited their store and the scent they liked is not in your program? The customer knows the scent is made and might prefer to simply go to the mall and purchase the scent of their choice.
We believe our two candle fundraisers offer far greater potential. Click here for candle fundraising information.
